Brides to Be - What You Need to Know!

Wondeful Weddings UK

Once you have chosen your wedding date and also the time of your marriage, the first thing my  husband to be and I did was to open a bank account (one with with interest is a good idea).

Then decide how much you are going to save each month - ideally it should be the same amount.
Have a set figure on what you want to spend on your wedding and do research on the internet or even phone a business if you are interested in their services to see what you get.
Ask for info to be emailed to you - you can always open a email account with Hotmail especially for your wedding correspondence.

Next decide where you wish to be married - a church,  a wedding venue (you will need a wedding celebrant - the venue may be able to help you with this).
Venues are obviously ideally looked at before you book. Do check what menus they offer - for instance do any of your guests require special diets - but most of all you both agree that you both like the menu choice and also importantly what are the costs - after all it is your wedding!

Do you want a sit down hot meal or a help your self service buffet with canapes, will more guests be coming in the evening and require food (usually a cold buffet) and what else do they offer - of course a bar is a must, but also tea or coffee.
Is there a comfy area your guests can wait in, if they arrive a bit early? Also easy access for people in wheelchairs.
When we booked my daughter's wedding, the hotel we booked with, threw in flowers for the tables AND a free stay on the wedding night in the bridal suite (which included breakfast)! You can always ask what deals they can do for you.

Another thing to consider about a choosing avenue, is how easy is it to get to it, for not only you and your betrothed but for your guests.
If it is not too far from their home or where they are staying, they can get a taxi but some wedding couples do lay on coaches or hire a bus - another money item to consider.
Will either of your parents be helping out? If so, will they be giving an amount of money or be paying for the photographer? It's nice to know what to tick off your wedding list.

Ideally don't be like my husband and myself and save for the wedding and buy a house at the same time - very stressful I can tell you.

So from my experience ENJOY!

Another time I will tell you tips to save money.
